Quarantine requirement for import wood packing material ( WPM ) to Korea

This is to inform you that the new regulation will be applied to the wooden pack-materials for the import goods to Korea.
Enforement : 1st of June 2005 ( shipping date )
Requirement : The wooden packing material should be fumigated either by heat treatment or methylbromide ( MB ) fumigation.
Marks ( prove ) : The fumigation should be certified by marks on the both opposite side of the WPM ( wood packing material )
Non-Compliance : If caught up by the inspection, the non-complied WPM shall be disposed, returned or treated etc. in the port site in Korea.
Please keep in your mind in order to avoid any mis-happenings in future.
