To all Polar Air Cargo Worldwide Customers Fuel Surcharge Increase
Date: May 22, 2008
Due to the recent increase in the Aviation Fuel price to Polar Air Cargo Worldwide, we will increase the Fuel Surcharge from North America commencing Thursday, May 29, 2008. From this date the new surcharge will be:
North America to South America $1.60/kg
North America to all other destination $1.15/kg
The surcharges will continue to be applied to the chargeable weight of the shipment. Likewise the present minimum charge of $5.00 per Air Waybill will continue to be applied to small shipments.
We at Polar Air Cargo Worldwide apologize for the inconvenience caused by these surcharges; but the fuel market volatility leaves us little choice.
